Warning -BT Mobile Sim Activation
Just a word of warning of anyone is thinking of ordering a phone or sim only they are having huge problems activating sims. I ordered my sim on the 5th and have just cancelled my order as they still can't tell me when it can be activated.
Also BT customer service is a lot to be desired, very poor.
Lots of unhappy customers on the BT forums. It appears that this has happened a few times since launch.

Unfortunately I can relate that, 2 sims ordered, delivered very quickly.
1 was activated immediately and the original phone number was transferred the next day.
The other sim said it had been activated by e-mail but it wasn't, had conversations with various operators, some giving very dubious and wrong reasons, even blaming my previous provider for locking the phone.
Apparently there has been a huge backlog so I was told eventually but no-one could tell me when it would be sorted out.
So, still having to pay for old service until the new one is activated, I think many will be cancelling this new contract.
Strangely, never seen these problems highlighted in the media.0
