Collection from home

I have an item on ebay which I've put on for collection only as it's a big, heavy item, now my question is do I need to do a receipt, get signature or anything if/when the item is bought and collected? I've asked for cash on collection only but is there anything else I need to do?
Might be a stupid question but as it says over there >>> there's no such thing as a stupid question!

Kate you don't need to worry about a receipt unless the buyer asks for one when they arrive. All you need to be bothered about is the fact that they turn up and give you the cash. Just be careful when they arrive to your house, your best not being alone just to be on the safe side.0

Thats no problem, the chances are they won't want a receipt but I guess you could always ask them in advance by email so you can have one ready if they want one.0

To be picky you might want to just print up a paper for them sign. Or print the listing out and add "Bought as Seen" at the bottom and ask them to sign that.
But you really shouldn't need to bother.0 -
Whatever you do, DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL if the buyer is collecting - there are too many stories of woe where the buyer ahs collected the item, then started an item not received dispute a few weeks down the line. As the seller has no online proof of delivery, they lost the lot - money and item!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
