Normal squash is 10% fruit
Double strength is 20% fruit
Value double strength is 85p and 10%
own brand double strength is £1 and 20%
How on earth can they call it double strength? also does anyone know if the herons brand is 10% or 20%?

What are they comparing it to? I would assume it was a different way of saying 'concentrated', so you would need to add more water to make an equivalent strength drink. Without something to compare it to though, I see it as nothing more than another marketing ploy to con the gullible out of their money. (assuming they're charging more for this than the equivalent 'regular' version)
When the industry standard is 10% single and 20% double then to claim 10% as double is just dishonest.
The value double strength is half as strong as double strength but make no reference to this

High juice means nothing the words double strength should mean its twice as strong as industry standard
You can get double strength with a % of juice, or of something else (can't remember right now).
Double strength refers to how much water you will need to dilute it with.
When I want specific answers, I'll provide the information.
I could label it 10x strength and say add one part orange 40x water. doesnt mean its legitimate.
Single strength is 4 parts water one part orange, double is 8 parts water. this "double strength" need 4 parts water to taste like other dilute juices. So its not double strength its single strength when compared with the rest of the industry.
as i say its 85p for value orange and £1 for dilute that is twice as strong, which means you need half as much. So its much better value to get own brand instead of value
There's so much juice in it that it tastes okay from about 1:20 dilution up to 1:5.

Except the sweetness and flavour will be roughly the same between the value and the regular own-brand. Its just the own-brand uses more real fruit and less flavourings, as actual juice is expensive.
The fact it is double concentrated doesn't matter, that just relates to how much water is in the bottle versus how much you need to add.
