Samsung or Nokia
Just looking for some opinions on the best choice of phone for my upgrade this year. I am a fairly big spender so get most of the phones FOC. Have been a Samsung girl for a few years now and currently have the E700
Thinking about Nokia again though for a change and have got it down to the Nokia 7610 or the Samsung D500. Any thoughts? or any other phones you guys think wud be even better
Whilst I love this time of year (upgrade) I also hate making the decision appreciate your thoughts

samsung i would have said is the better choice at this time as there are no decent nokia's out at the moment, true enough everyone have different tastes but in my opinion the d500 is the better choice.Nice to Save. To save it's ____0

Ill agree that is annoying how i cant customise that but all in all its great, Its got a faster bluetooth thing that nokia's, my bro had the 7600 which only transferred at 17k/s where as the d500 goes at 40k/s
all in all tho the d500 is better than the current nokia's.Nice to Save. To save it's ____0 -

Why are you a big spender on mobiles. To be a true MSE you need to hunt out the deals and not just upgrade annually.:) Found decent free or reduced 12 month contracts a bit thin on the ground this year if you wanted to be on anyother network bar 3. I ordered a couple of phones from mobileshop last week with free line rental. In the past I have used www.chatterbox.com which paid the cashback within days.
Go on hunt out a decent deal

you are so right poppy and I need to hang my head in shame! In my defense I do actually find orange one of the best providers and with running an established business there is no way I could risk losing my number as my business is dependant on referrral and old contacts. I also need very good service as I do end up working in the back waters of the UK sometimes so 3 would be no good leaving vodaphone and O2 which are the 2 I use to negotiate new deals with the dreaded orange. Any more advice though would be gladly taken on board.

Ok you can lift your head again :rotfl:
If you really must stay with orange tell them to match their on line square deals:
Orange they come with a free phone but from experience if you are a loyal customer they will give you what ever phone you want for free with these deals.
You can with the mobileshop deals port your orange number for a flat fee of £10 I assume this will apply if you go orange to orange but not sure. Try their email service and they will answer this. Chatterbox.com best orange deals are only for London residents for some reason. Another site to try is e2save. Note though these on line deals are usually dependent on you taking out a new contract. Check with them before you buy if you port your number. If they say no a way around this is to give notice to orange and ask them to convert you to PAYG. You then still have your number. You can then transfer this PAYG number to your new contract. I don't think there is a time limit on this. The man in orange actually advised me to do this as I then don't have to pay an extra month line rental.
As you are no doubt aware Orange match competitor minutes except orange so make sure you are getting the most for your money.
Good luck

Or how about you don't upgrade phone, but for a cut-throat rental deal with a cheap phone you give away or keep for spare?
600 minutes a month for £9.99 for business users after nearly £400 cashback - I'm assuming you can get the VAT back - if not it will be about £17.50 a month. Other tariffs there as well

I think it might be tricky transferring your existing number sometimes on the same network, as the commission is designed for attracting new customers, but worth having a chat with them. 01162200200 instead of 0870...0
