Seller currently cannot receive paypal payments

Hi,

I won an auction yesterday and can't pay for the item because when i click on the paypal option via e-bay it goes to a paypal screen saying that the seller cannot currently receive payment.

I don't know what the problem is but i've sent them a message and so far have not had a reply.. Could someone tell me what the problem could be please.

Frozen account possibly. Are there any warning signs about your seller being a bit dodgy?

No it doesn't seem like he's dodgy he's got 100% feedback and told me earlier in the week that i could pay him with paypal..

Could i maybe try and find his e-mail address log into paypal and try and pay him that way..

When i try and pay him i can't even to the screen where i put my own details in e.g password etc..

If he has problems with paypal then don't try and pay until everything is sorted. If there is anything dodgy you don't want him having your money, and if it is all just routine then he won't mind waiting until paypal is sorted and he can receive money safely.

Yes i was thinking that too..

I hope he gets in contact tonight and if he does and everything seems o.k i'll make the payment...

I had this late last week - seller knew nothing about it - but payment went through fine about 24 hours later.

I've just requested an invoice from the seller to see if that will make any difference..

I've still had no reply from the seller and will have another go at paying once he gets in touch.

I also won an item on Friday, attempting to pay for it since but paypal box comes up 'seller not accepting payments'.

She has checked her paypal account and there is nothing to say why this is happening. Will try again in the morning otherwise gonna have to send a cheque or something which I don't really want to do!
