Hi,
I'm attaching a copy of my bank statement to prove a purchase from an "Aldi" store for "Parking eye" on their online site. Could some kind soul please explain what I can "redact" safely as the registered keeper, since the name and addresses are one and the same....
sorry if I'm being a bit dim...:o

Scrub your account number and sort code, any other transactions than the Aldi one, and your opening and closing balances.
If they've got your name and address already from the DVLA and are pursuing you as keeper, then there's no problem with leaving those personal details showing - otherwise an anonymised statement could be anyone's.
Show them enough to prove purchases were made from Aldi on the day of the parking event. Sometimes the transaction date on the statement is a day or so later than the actual purchase date, but PE should be aware of this.
Whatever you send, be sure not to inadvertently reveal who the driver was. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks for that. If I may be allowed one supplementary. Above the blue template letter is the following e.g for the addition of a receipt/statement....
"You can add to the template below, 'in order to resolve the dispute I attach copies of': the driver's receipts/bank transactions (or Hospital Appointment/Hotel booking, etc.) that day as they were a genuine customer/patient or whatever."
Just a little bit confused about how this should be spelt out. If the registered keepers name and address matches that of the bank statement I dont want to be adding "the driver's bank transaction" do I ?
Sorry for labouring it....
Thanks
