    They buyer is about to commit to the largest financial commitment in their life. I wouldn't have thought it was uncommon. I know I did similar.

    They're committed to buying it in its current condition, and don't know what might have happened to it in the past two months. So yes.

    Yes, normal and reasonable.
    I visited the house I just bought, and on the drive back phone my solicitor to instruct to exchange that very hour. I aimed to minimise the time between final viewing and exchanging.

    Yes we did this with the last house. They just want to make one final check on what they are buying. It is quite normal.

    This is standardised and formalised in Scottish transactions;

    "The Seller will, after conclusion of the Missives and upon receipt of reasonable notice by the Purchaser, give access to the Purchaser or his agents to the Property at reasonable times for the purposes of inspection, measurement or the provision of quotations. This right of access however shall not be exercised on more than 2 occasions without the consent of the Seller."

    It is normal, I know last time I moved, I let the people come round to look. But the house I bought, the people were awkward and wouldn't let us make an appointment to view after we'd had the offer accepted.

    It's normal and also in your interest to do so - make it easy for them and the sale is more likely to go through. If you refuse it might look like you have something to hide.

    You can also discuss which fixtures and fittings will be included in the sale (eg some sellers leave white goods behind) if you haven't already done this.

    We've viewed once again already after having our offer accepted, and plan to visit at least one more time to measure up properly and check condition.

    "Measuring up" is certainly a good or common euphemism for "checking you've not trashed it".

    Our buyers came back twice - they were FTB and I get the impression there was parental help with the deposit and parents were keen to see what they were buying. They asked nicely (we had direct contact) and fitted in when we could accommodate them so saw no reason not to. I think they're just as excited about our house as we are our next one!
