Hi,
I raised a thread a few days ago regarding the above but to avoid it being lost in that one, I've raised it again so that it comes to the forefront of all the threads..
I may have found another property and am looking to make a formal offer but I wanted to know do I need to appoint one solicitor who is independent of the conveyancer handling the processing of the purchase of a property ? I have been advised this is necessary as there is a conflict of interest if one solicitor is handling the conveyancing as well as the registration of the deposit.
thanks,
habib.

"Oh no it's not". Doesnt have anything about deposits
When i had a second charge put on a property, I had it done by a different solicitor, the one involved in buying the house wouldn't do it said there was potential they could be accused of conflict of interest.
I take it the deposit is from a different person than the mortgagee?0
