In debt to Bank taking me to court need advice urgently!!!!

    There are a few bank accounts that will even accept people who are bankrupt, so you would definately get one of these

    You should be able to get an account, a card of some sort and be able to pay DDS out so that you can manage your money.

    Be warned that you cannot go overdrawn on these and that the CO-op seems to operate a three strikes and you are out policy.

    You want an account that is with a company who are not related to your existing bank.

    i managed to get a new bank acc, with a visa electron>good times...
    kind of!.....i still need to sort out the old bank debt.

    Have you tried an offer of repayment to avoid court?

    If they do take you to court, it will be for more than £286, as their costs will be added on, then if a CCJ is awarded against you, its on your credit record for the next 6 years from date of judgement.
