Hi

I have Outlook 2013 and I want to incorporate my my email address [email protected].

I'm going wrong somewhere - it should be straight forward but it is not working. I have followed these instructions:

The instructions are straightforward, I have successfully followed them to set up several accounts in Outlook 2010 & 2013. Do you actually have the e-mail address [EMAIL="terry@outlook.com"][email protected][/EMAIL]? What is going wrong? Are you trying for IMAP or POP?

no that's not the email address.

I just followed the instructions, a pop up box came up asking for my password, entered it but then I got the error message "an encryped connection to your mail server isnot available"

Went through trying unencrypted - still didn't like it.

Retried again and now it is asking me to set up manually - this is where it asks you to select pop or imap.

The dialogue boxes then ask me to enter the mail server settings for your account - I don't know what they are. Incoming or outgoing sever?

my internet provider is virgin. Should I be putting codes in specific to virgin in the in/out going mail server boxes?

Sorry, I don't know why I got it into my head that you were with BT. Try this: the screens may not be exactly the same as yours but the server names and so on are probably right.

Sorry, I went off line after posting my questions. I am glad someone else pointed you at your ISP's web site and that you are sorted.
