Just seen this offer this morning in the national press. Get 8 Mbps broadband connection for £19.99 per month and get a Dell Inspirion 1520 Notebook free. The laptop is supposedly worth £450. Free wireless router included. Go to
www.carphonewarehouse.com
It is a 24 month contract and also means going with AOL but surely this is a pretty decent deal for anyone in need of a new PC/laptop.

Nice offer, and nice-ish spec machine. Shame that they've got Vista on it, the specs of it wont be able to run Vista to its potential0

Nothing comes free, only that price if you are connected to an unbundled exchange and you take their PAYG.
£19.99 a month, subject to taking AOL Talk Pay As You Go subscription and living in an LLU area
£10 surcharge for those not connected to an AOL broadband unbundled exchange0 -
I am one of those who are connected to an unbundled exchange and it won't be upgraded for a few years.I would like to have taken advantage of a new laptop, but am not going to pay a surcharge.....
we are penalised for living in an area that has an exchange that needs upgrading.
When are companies going to offer the same package to everyone, for the same cost and not add on surcharges?
I am looking to change broadband providers as I am not in a contract at the moment and thought ..new laptop!! I could do with one of those! NOT NOW!!!!0
