Hope you can help me guys!
Just been off the phone to Bank of Scotland about one of my accounts.
It started off as a budget account for my bills and they changed it to a current account. Anyway the overdraft was set up and has been for about 8 years at £2100, and it has always been in debt every month as it is a budget account.
It looks like I have been charged every month for being in debit in my overdraft, they called it 'interest debit'.
Am I eligible to claim back these so called charges even they say its cause i'm always in my overdraft??
I'm aware if I can - i can only claim back 5 years.
Hope you can help
Thanks
Gary

You cannot reclaim overdraft interest, sorry, as this is a legitimate interest for using your overdraft, not a punitive charge for bouncing a DD or getting into unauthorised overdraft.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
Did you recently post the same story under a different nick?
There can't be too many people, who have that same "problem".
