Backpay after leaving employer

Hi Guys
I'm really not sure if I've posted in the correct area, i'm sure someone will shout at me if i haven't
Anyway, Last year whilst working at my previous employer I and the workforce were involved in a pay deal dispute, which was put on the table in April 2015, it went on and on, as expected. I left my employment with the company in November 2015 (on good terms) The pay deal was eventually accepted approx 2 weeks ago and my ex colleagues were paid back pay from April until the date of acceptance.
Now on the grounds that I was part of this disputed paydeal between April and November should I be entitled to back pay for the time worked up until my leaving date in November?
In all honesty I'm not really to bothered about it, but just wanted to ask and make sure I'm not missing out money I could claim.

I don't know the legalities of it, but I worked in a unionised organisation (although I wasn't in the union) where the April pay increase was almost always implemented around September due to negotiations that dragged on. I left in April and in October received a payslip for about £12 that I was owed post-negotiations to cover the two days I worked for that higher salary!!
The point of the backpay is that it is money that is owed (it's not a goodwill gesture). The fact that you've left the organisation shouldn't matter, you worked then and should have been paid the higher salary if it weren't for the fact that the negotiations took so long.
But that's my opinion and thoughts on a pragmatic approach, not law!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
I'd have to agree with KiKi's conclusion, although I also don't know the legal position. Have you actually asked them about the back pay?0

Thanks guys, yes that's what I thought. I have sent an email to the assistant ops manager shortly before posting this thread, currently awaiting a response. The company is fully unionised and I was a member of that union.0
