Enjoy 2 Free Nights for 2 Bed & Breakfast plus complimentary dinner for two on one of the nights, at Holbeck Ghyll Hotel & Spa, Cumbria
Nestling above the shores of Windermere and overlooking the soaring Langdale Fells, Holbeck Ghyll is the ultimate luxury retreat. A former hunting lodge, the house was bought in 1888 by the fabulously wealthy fifth Earl of Lonsdale - founder of the Automobile Association, and instigator of the Lonsdale Belt award to champion boxers. The 'Yellow Earl' (apparently he loved the colour, which explains the AA's branding) obviously had an eye for a nice piece of real estate. The view from the Miss Potter Suite at Holbeck Ghyll has been voted one of the top 15 in the world. And as Lonsdale was a fan of Rennie Mackintosh, the hotel abounds in beautiful wood panelling and stained glass windows.
