Leaving the working tax credit system

When renewal comes around I do not wish to claim. I am totally confused how this works.

I have to fill in a renewal pack but how do I cancel and what is concidered an over payment based on my current claim?

Anybody know. I have telephoned them and asked but now am more confused than before.

Just don't fill it in. You need to inform them of last years income but that's not through the renewals pack.

Sorry but this isn't good advice.

If you receive any payments from April onwards and don't renew they will all be overpaid and you'd need to repay.

The renewal form does ask for the previous year's income for not sure why you say it doesn't.

OP if you want to withdraw from tax credits then call them asap. They will mark it for withdrawal for the end of the tax year. You will still be sent the renewal form but if you have withdrawn this will simply finalise this year's claim.
