Any benefit to remortgaging with current lender?

Hi All,
I'm about to remortgage after coming to the end of my current 2 year deal. I just wondered if there's any benefit to sticking with my current lender (Coventry), even if slightly cheaper rates are available elsewhere?
Basically, will the application process be the same as if I went elsewhere, or should it be smoother/simpler if I stick with them?
thanks!
Stephen

I *think* if you stay with your current lender they don't go though all the credit check and affordability check they do when you originally join them, as its just a product switch.
Also there may not be product fees or legal fees if you stay with them0 -
Ive just switched to a new deal with same provider and no eligibility checks were required.0
