Wed 9th Mar - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

Hi March Misers,
I'm up at Stupid O'Clock so that I can have some food before Nil-By-Mouth hospital investigations from lunchtime. Will take food with me for after I've been tortured.
On the brighter side this is the first of five days off.
I've added a link to a Tax Code Checker, above, for Employees and those with a Private Pension for anyone wanting to check if they're possibly due an income tax refund.
I've also added a link about Wombling to the list of links, above. I know Bob is a Wombling Wonder. Maybe I should give it a shot.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Ten:

* Updated Finances Spreadsheet.
* Did i-Say surveys.
* Checked Quidco: these people are sooooo slow to pay.
* Washing is outside on the line.
What about you folks?

Morning
I now understand what wombling is! Thanks Ally. Although living in an area that doesnt have a Tesco, Asda or Morrisons dont think its much use to me. Clever idea though.
Start my new second job today. Bit nervous. Washing is over the airer (its pouring down). Packed lunch to make, tea will be chilli using ingredients I already have, no need to shop.
Just hope DH manages to get some work done today. Have a good Wednesday everyone x0 -
Morning All
Maria - I forgot to thank you yesterday for your kind words on me being under 2k. Thank you. I hope the sheep will be ok.
Ally sorry to hear you have to go into hospital. Hope you get the results you need. The wombling article is great. I am only a baby womble compared to those guys. I have to say though there are some amazing numbers being logged on the Remember Your a Womble thread. I have a lower score this year due to less time for doing it.
Back later

No fancy fonts or colours today as I'm on my tablet. I knocked my laptop off the sofa yesterday and have smashed the screen. I'm devastated... But it will have to be repaired as I'm heavily reliant on my laptop.

Here's my list for today
check banking and PAD
find somewhere to get my laptop repaired
pay off Easter break with the cash from the Young Carers
relax if that is remotely possible
next knitting or crochet project
load of washing
try and eat well now I'm feeling a bit better
quick Hoover through
get kids to school (did feeling better)Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Wow - thanks for illuminating us about wombling, sounds awesome!0 -
Thanks Ali for getting us started. I hope you are not in too much discomfort through your procedure and you get the results you hope for.
Today we are at one of our regular HE groups I'm not sure what time we will be back or how we will be, no doubt the children will be tired and I will be worrying about my Grandma who is unwell.
Today will be a LSD where we will be sticking to the meal plan and taking our lunch contribution from stores. I won't be washing my hair but I will be having fun with like minded folk.Fashion on a ration 2024 66/66 coupons remaining
80 coupons rolled over 0/80 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
