Hi, I hope someone can help with this one. I have sold my property, the buyers surveyor has been round and agrees the valuation and sale price. I own the property with an equity loan so my mortgage company are sending their own surveyor to value the place to work out what I should repay. It will be 30% of the sale price as I understood it.
If they value it more than the sale price (unlikely as I got a very good offer) I have to pay the difference. What happens if they value less than the sale price? Will they just come and agree with the sale price as it means they get a nicer chunk back? I doubt they will let me stash the extra funds. He's here in an hour, just wondering if anyone else has been through this?
