I have looked at thousands of statues and monuments in the internet.
I am still no closer to getting these!

I agree No. 25 looks like Kitchener. Check out the similarites (esp. the nose!) with these two pix of Kitchener:

Suggests number 6 is Sir Robert Peel but I can't find proof of it.
Number 25... this looks a bit like it but the angle of the horse's head looks wrong - http://www.roll-of-honour.com/Kent/ChathamKitchener.htmlMany tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -

25 is either Kitchener or Roberts - from the medals I'd say Roberts as he was awarded the VC, but it is not the Glasgow Roberts statue, although there are great similarities.

Both that statue and the one of Roberts on Horseguards Parade were cast from an original in Calcutta, now taken down. The photo of the statue is very old also which may be a clue.

Thanks lydias, I've also looked at Hamilton, Wood, Buller & Macdonald (cos of the tash) but they all look the same to me. I thought the helmet would be key to identify the statue but I can't find it on any with it in the hundreds of images I've looked at.
Only odd thing that occurs to me is that all the staues are in England & Scotland, none in wales or NI. That could just be an irrelevance though. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

The Buller statue (for 25) is about the closest I can find.

Actually, looking at the middle of those 3, the helmet seems wrong. Oh well! Many tx to all who post constructively in all the forums!:beer:0 -
Sorry to be a pain but are we sure 23 is shakespeare? The person on the website above that mentions Peel does not think so and it's not the statue in Leicester Square
