Can I transfer an overdraft balance onto a credit card? Looking at the Barclaycard Platinum at the mo.

You need a credit card that offers what are called 'money transfers' - this effectively pays cash into your current account for you to do with what you please.

Apparently you need a high credit score to get those, which just isn't applicable here unfortunately

MBNA does money transfers. I have poor credit and got one of their cards.0

Failing that, you could swap to a bank with better overdraft interest. I opened a first direct account, it has £250 interest only overdraft and the apr on the rest is 19% which is less than many other high street banks.0

It's a student account so there is no interest currently on there. The offer runs out soon though so trying to think of a way to just move the balance over. I don't think it can be done, as neither of us can get accepted on those cards
Need to pay it off the old-fashioned way unfortunately.0 -
