heya all new here, im here to ask a question, right we are getting housing benefit and council tax fully paid for us but my wife was made redundant and is having a payout of £1264 we have a child and she is only 7 months old, the wife does have a new job but she has lost hours and only gets minimum wage now she is only working 16 hours a week now from the 22 hours she was working, so how are we affected, can they take this money from us ?

I read on another forum that redundancy is considered capital so if under £6000 it wouldn't affect HB.0
