12mths interest free

Hey guys...bought a pc last year 12 mths interest free..outstanding amount to be settled at 12 mths or payments would continue for a further 3 years.I had planned to pay the remainder with an interest free card but ive missed when I was meant to settle by 5 days.Is there any leeway with this? (settlement now would be £612..would have been £443 5 days ago.)
Cheers.

surely the best people to ask would be the finance company?

There will be something in your T&C that says if payment isn't made within the 12 month period they will add on interest from the start of the deal. It will be backdated interest.

Fairly standard in these deals. I'd be very surprised if there was any leeway. You could always ask them but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."

Unfortunately, I wouldnt hold out much hope of this, but give them a ring/write and see what they say.
This is how they make money, hoping people will forget, or not have the means to pay it all off at once just before the 12 month limit.

Ouch! That's a £169 costly mistake. Let that be a reminder to you to put the date of any 0% deals in a calendar/on your phone etc. at least a month before they are due to end.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll be given any mercy, that's the whole point of these deals - they rely on people forgetting.

So at least you can feel good that you've helped others have an interest free deal. :)

If you don't ask you don't get. There's no harm in asking for the interest to be refunded. You might lucky.

No one gives discount for cash. As the money is made from the finance deal.
