Mighty deals are driving me to despair!! :-(
I ordered a MacBook from them for a Xmas present for my 9 year old daughter. It cost £200 and was covered in scratches and incredibly slow. Tried to update software and machine crashed. I contacted mighty deals and the merchant, within the 14 day money back guarantee period. Returned the machine and emailed the merchant daily to confirm if they have received it and to arrange refund. They confirmed to Mighty deals on 6th Jan that I returned it for them to arrange a refund. I must have emailed customer services and raised a ticket online around 20 times now to demand my refund!! They have eventually refunded it into my mighty deals account (as if I will ever order anything from them again!!) I have emailed them again and again and as of the 28th Jan they said they will refund my money within 5-7 working days. This has now passed and STILL no refund. My daughter is still without a Xmas present and is devastated :-(
What else can I do...? No phone number to contact them on!!

I don't know the wording of the guarantee but it may be that items returned under the guarantee are refunded as credit.
If you wish to reject as faulty that's different than the money back guarantee, and I'm not sure it necessarily is faulty. A MacBook new is at least £700, I sold my five year old nackered machine for £100 about two years ago, so you were definitely buying an older used model for £200, so slow isn't a fault but are scratches (I'm assuming it was described as an old machine for £200 when they're at least £700-800 new)
Your daughter being without a Christmas present is not mighty deals fault. You are not gonna get a decently functioning MacBook for £200, but a decently functioning netbook or lower spec laptop is possible.0 -
