Hi,
Slap me if this is old news and perhaps this has been mentioned before but I couldn't find it.
I just checked and noticed that, where I thought 18866 were charging 1p per call, they are now charging 2p per call.
New one on me?

Slap.
They raised the price on 23 March 2005.Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -
And another slap....:)0

OOOh!!
Thanks for those slaps - enjoyed every minute of them.
I only just noticed the price change the other day. Been happily boasting to everyone that my calls only cost 1p.

Switch the tariff announcement on and avoid any more nasty surprises.Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").

Better still read the Telephone Boards on MSE for up to date info on 18866/1899 pricing as you will invariably read it here before it is posted on their websites :rotfl:
(the tariff anouncement will of course still just say 0p per minute and not give the connection charge of 2p)0 -

I find the same - people find it incredibly hard to understand such a simple pricing scheme. The usual comment is 'so whats the catch' or 'so how do they make there money then'. As you say if it ever comes up in conversation after I have initially mentioned it then the person has not got round to it.
I suspect these people actually enjoy paying more for their telephone service - they obviously have too much money - or too little sense !!!Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -
Hardly any1 I know can be bothered with anything moneysaving at all (apart from my family)0
