  • Depends on budget. Give me a budget and your expectations on size/type of property you are looking for and I should be able to suggest areas/places.

Area around the hospital is pretty bad - but you don't have to go far to find the nicer areas. What is your budget?

Do you want city centre, more of a village/suburb feel but on tramline etc or possibly further out for more rural/a bit of Cheshire life? Lots of options available and they're dependent on what you want and your budget. I'd be looking at Altrincham, Sale, Chorlton, Didsbury and if you want further into Cheshire/a mainline station Wilmslow. But none of those are cheap and some south Manchester schools are over subscribed.
  • Up to 850, house, min 3 bedrooms. I don't mind driving, but i do night shifts and need to make sure the family is safe. Also good schools.

Is that £850 renting per month? Just checking you don't mean 850k to buy!

Although you could easily spend that much buying up there in some places too - although I'd hope for 4+ Beds

Wythenshawe isnt a particualrly safe area. Nearby Northenden is okay as are most areas of chorlton - I am familiar with these areas - theres lots of ex council properties to rent in Chorlton The estates in Sale and Chorlton once you are inside the estate itself seems to be a haven of cul de sacs and its these inner parts of the estates where there is more anti social behaviour . Outer parts seem okay and should be under your budget
I would look at Withington, Sale, Northenden. Gatley, Cheadle and Heald Green - they arent too far away.
Not sure about primary schools but high schools I know of are Kingsway (stockport), Parrs Wood (Didsbury A34) and Barlow RC High School

If you want good schools, the Grammars falling in Trafford Council will be the best. They have good primary schools too.

If it's rental of £850, You should be looking at Altrincham (might be just outside budget), Timperley or Sale (Brooklands) .

Close enough to the Hospital but not Wythenshawe itself (which is relatively rough)
  • 850 renting.
