A friend of mine was going out for the day and parked her car in the station car park and paid the parking charge by phone. Unfortunately she missed a letter/number off her car registration no when she sent the text. Sometime later she received a letter from the car parking company saying they were going to fine her £85 as she had not paid. She appealed the charge, received another letter from car parking company saying as it was an genuine error they were withdrawing the £85 charge.

She has now received another letter from this company saying that the charge still stands as they have now decided they have made a mistake in withdrawing the original charge!

Any advise gratefully received. Thanks.
