He was paying in cash, and had already handed over one roll when I arrived, which the cashier was unrolling and flattening so it would go into the counting machine. He then produced another roll from a pocket, and yet another roll from a different one. When she gave him the total (many thousands) he looked puzzled, rooted around in his trousers and found a fistful of crumbled notes in both pockets.
At no point was he asked any questions.

Last time I sold my car, got paid through PayPal.
PayPal rang up the buyer right away, to confirm the transfer was kosher. I think it's better than cash, which takes me ages to use up, and you don't get cashback.
Someone said recently in MSE that you could transfer it to your current account in the UK (e.g not in foreign currency) free of charge of charge.
Though Imyself have not tried it. But I have tried transfer small amount of money to someone in the UK and not charge for it.0 -

If I sell something on eBay, eBay will take a cut, but I can transfer what's left to my UK bank account charge free, from PayPal.
In general, you set up a bank account as the default funding source, which they verify is yours. I have transferred back and forth lots of times. Probably can't do it with ANY bank account.0
