This is a bit of a rant I'm afraid.
Why do folk NOT read a description, delivery and payment costs/terms, selling history etc before bidding?
Why do folk not talk to their seller/buyer if there is a problem before coming on here?
Come on guys do your research first, communicate with the other party and in 99% of cases most things can be sorted out. If you still have problems then ask.
And lastly..
Its BID not bidded!!
(and yes I did get out of bed on the wrong side today)

I agree with the content of your rant Hintza.
What particularly annoys me is the number of morons who start posts on this site, blaming "Big Business" or "dodgy sellers" for their own stupidity and look for (and unbelievably, get) sympathy from MSE posters.
Whilst morons do have a place in society, I think that their stupid behaviour
should be pointed out to them in no uncertain terms.
A recent example- Ripped off at Blackpool pleasure Beach -most posters were sympathetic, my first thought was where were this OP's minders , surely they didn't let her out by herself !0 -
I'm with you Hintza.
I'll tell you why people don't read descriptions, look at delivery charges, payment terms etc....because they know that when they c0ck up they can come running here for help on how to get themselves out of situations that they could have easily avoided.
Makes me wonder how some people would cope with life if this site didn't exist
The amount of times I have written out a sarcastic reply to an obvious dumba$$ but then deleted it is unbeliveable:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
totaly agree with you Hintza, selling on ebay is becoming a nightmare!! because of silly buyers.0

I've been selling on eBay for 8 years now, and there's always been silly buyers. Welcome to the Great British Public! Well, actually a fair proportion of my idiot buyers have been from the US, but the rest were from the UK.For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
Bidded, bidded bl**dy bidded.
I bidded - they bidded - how daft is that?0 -
I will add to this the fact that many sellers blame paypal for chargebacks when it is obvious to a blind donkey that if the seller had bothered to read and inwardly digest the simple terms and conditions, a chargeback would not have been lost.
In fact all they had to do, was ensure that the transaction was ''eligible for seller protection', which paypal helpfully tell you on the transaction page!
Not difficult, there is no great conspiracy, paypal aren't trying to 'trick' you."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
I bite my tongue sometimes and email in response to stupid questions by cutting and pasting the bit of the description that they haven't read the first time

Can I add dim sellers to this thread as well please?
Saw a book I wanted it was a brand new seller but he took paypal and had a 1p start, so I put in a small bid and and actually won it a couple of weeks back. Book never arrived so I emailed politely and got an explanation about how he wasn't sure what he had to do
I suggested, again as politely as possible that he sent the book (which seemed to surprise him so whether he was waiting for me to go and get it I'm not sure) and he finally did that (apparently). He also said that this ebay lark was very complicated and he didn't know how people managed...so obviously not the brightest in the class.
My book still hasn't arrived but I only spent £1.01 anyway so it isn't the end of the world, but looking at his selling history he has since sold a couple of Dab radios at around the £60 marks and 2 other items at £75, I pity those buyers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
