Planting Grass Seed

With the unseasonably warm weather we've been having I was wondering if it's worth putting grass seed on the patches of lawn that the dogs have killed off.
Will it grow?
Will it die when/if it gets cold again?
There is only one way to know for sure. We may not get another frost this year, who knows. Grass seed is cheap and easy to put down so just give it a go and see what happens. the worst that can happen is you waste a few quid and an hour of your time.YNWA

Yes!!! I sowed some about three weeks ago, thought nothing would happen, we had snow as well which lay for about 2 days. Low and behold, germination has started yesterday!0
