Can I claim council tax benefit if I left my job

Hello,
I quit a job (was becoming increasingly difficult to do with the new management and their expectations) was quite demotivating and I think they were shortly about to push me to leave and seeing as I have less than two years legally they could of done this easily.
I'm now thinking about claiming council tax benefit / support.
Am I able to do this?
Also if I'm starting my own company to be self employed is there any more I could claim? It's unlikely I would turn a profit within 12 months
Thanks

Yes but you need to apply for it at your local authority and not through the dwp.0

Working Tax Credits if you meet the criteria. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
