When I say might I mean it really won't I'm not an a-hole. I tack everything together on the car and weld on the floor, takes more time but it's the only way to do it with out settin my self alight. But I do get the manager to hold things in place while I tack but he still hasn't got the message
I am not remotely clear as to what the "message" is. Or what your job is. But what you seem to be saying is that you know that the work you do leaves other people in a dangerous position at speed on a motorway, because it is inadequate work. And you think the employer will be responsible for that? If you haven't said so, it'll be you responsible. Quite apart from the moral position of someone who is quite happy to do substandard work if it "isn't their fault". How do you know it won't be you and your kids in the vehicle behind the one you worked on? Or does it only matter if it is someone else's kids???0 -
Had a sneekey peek at one of the time sheets and it has been marked as late, there is also six more lates which I know nothing about and I have been deducted 9 hours as a result with no notice.
If you're late 2 minutes, then you are late so maybe the 6 records are relating to these times? Being early doesn't win you points, being late does go against you even if a few minutes, especially if regular.im on time a minute or two either way
So maybe the 9 hours are nothing to do with the lateness but maybe relates to a day you took off that was unpaid?previously I could swap my day off now I have to take holiday when needed but as all my holidays are all used up its unpaid.0 -
OP, do you have to 'clock in' and out?0
-
OP can you not range with 1 of the other parents to drop your kids off with them leaving you with enough time to get to work.0

If you have to do the school run sometimes then maybe have an agreement that you make up the time you were late by.
If you are often a few minutes late then why not try and leave 5 or 10 minutes earlier every day?0 -
I do the timesheets for my company and if a staff member wants to question anything they feel is wrong I would show them.
As for not paying you for a number of hours, every company is different. Again for my company we sit down with the staff member and talk things over if they were coming in late etc and if needed a warring is given before any hours talking off the staff member.
But every company is different.
But you should request a meeting with your manager and ask why these hours are taken off you. Only way forward I see. You might even be able to work something out for your morning school run and start 15 minutes later and miss a break or make time up later.0
