    If there's no commission then £15-£20k seems quite low for the work involved.

    How do you mean the wrong direction?


    To be honest its something I have thought about for the last 18 months or so and im at a crossroads in my current career. As much as its job satisfaction I have a mortgage to pay and would like to start a family on the next 18-24 months so that's why there are so many questions relating to the salary. My partner only earns £14k so for me to drop from £27k to £15k would have a massive impact on us.


    I don't know whats involved in the role on a day to day basis so maybe I wouldn't enjoy it but its a subject an area that interests me.

    Broker in Bank or Estate Agents


    High workload, Low to Medium Income, Unsocial Hours


    Need to be: Good with detail, Patient, Smart, Reasonable with people


    Broker self employed working with IFA or Referring business, or with other brokers


    High workload, Medium Income, Some Unsocial Hours


    Need to be: Good with detail, Patient, Smart, Good with people


    Broker self employed running own business


    High workload, Above average Income, Little Unsocial Hours


    Need to be: Good with detail, Patient, Smart, Excellent with people, Self Motivated, Tenacious, Forward Thinking, Risk Taker.
