ESA severe disability premium living in student accommodation

Hello,

I am due to return to University after a 2 year break from my geography degree due to being unwell.

At the moment I'm claiming ESA support group and standard rate PIP.

I'll be living by myself in student accommodation when I return.

At the moment I live with my parents and don't get any disability premium at all.

I am wondering when I live in student halls if I will be eligible for the severe disability premium as I'll be living by myself.

I know that my ESA will probably go down due to my student loan but I don't understand why as I'll still be under the 6000 savings limit for income based ESA.

The student loan is counted as income not capital.

Is your mother helping you put measures in place so you don't blow your money again?

The above thread gives some *background* to the OP's situation - I'll sit on hands regarding all the inconsistencies.

I can manage my money pretty well without her support.

The problem I have is getting about.

I suffered a major car crash 2 years ago and had my legs amputated.

I can only manage by myself if my accommodation has wheelchair access.

Would explain why your mother posted this then.

Having read the previous threads this last chapter has made me laugh.

Perhaps there is some benefit he can claim for being a compulsive liar

Didn't this OP attempt to get advice so they could commit benefit fraud. Am sure I seen this user post a few months ago...

I hate posters that make ridiculous lies up, imo it belittles the genuine suffers...
