it usually takes 2 -3 weeks for budgeting loan to pay out.
i know you have returned the form but it doesn't go directly to yet department that deals with it. it goes to a central office and is forwarded internally from there0 -
If it really was first class (not doubting you but as a money saver they try to use second class reply envelopes) and if it was collected on Friday the earliest it would likely get to where it will be processed is probably Tuesday.
It won't get recorded on the system as a response until it's being processed. Until that happens, the only way they'll know if it has been received is by clapping eyes on it.
That means a physical search of all the mail they get. Such a search will only serve to slow the processing of applications so they won't want to do that only a day after it might arrive.
Factor in a likely increase in applications at this time of year plus all the additional mail handled by Royal Mail at this time of year and you are probably being a tad optimistic.0 -
What is the loan for? Is there some other way of obtaining whatever it is you need temporarily via a charity or something? It seems very unlikely that it will be processed pre the Christmas break, DWP is only working up to and including Wednesday 23rd reopening on Tuesday 29th."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

If sent back last Friday, it would be received at the DWP on Monday at the earliest, most likely Tuesday. It takes about two to three days to normally process (so either today or tomorrow) and then three days for the payment to reach the account which would take it to possibly Wednesday or Thursday next week. After that, it would be on or after 29 December before a payment is received.
The above assumes the system works as smoothly as it normally does and doesn't allow for periods of high volumes of work or delays in the postal system.0 -
Thanks for your replies I rang them today and money was sent out today so should be in my account in 3 days.0
