Asked to attend a work focused group meeting

Hello.
I'm getting ESA (support group) was awarded it at the end of October this year.
I have received a letter today saying that I have "been invited" to attend a group session.
My problem is agoraphobia, social anxiety, you name it I have it and there is no one available to go with me. It does say on the letter that I can bring someone with me.
It says if I can't go for any reason then I should call them and that I will be asked to attend a 1-1 with my work coach, I think I will write to them instead.
I am just not ready for this. i am working with a CBT therapist to help me go out the house alone at the moment.
But I was told when I awarded ESA I am not obliged to attend???
So if I don't tell them I can't go I will be sanctioned? I can't deal with it, I thought I had some breathing space but clearly not.
Someone help please

In the Support Group I don't think you are forced to attend any interviews. The SG is there for those who are deemed unlikely to re-enter the jobs market.
I would call them to let them know your are in the SG and will not be attending. That will help avoid any problems.0 -
You do not have to attend any work focussed groups or interviews when you are in the Support group although you can choose to do so.
You should not be sanctioned.

It would be polite to telephone/write thanking them for their invitation but at the present time you do not wish to take part as you are receiving ongoing treatment for your ******.0
