Can my dentist refuse a tooth coloured bridge or crown?

Just wanted to ask if an NHS dentist is correct to refuse to give a tooth coloured bridge or crown unless at the very front of my mouth? I fell like I am just being pushed into expensive private treatment to get this when it is possibly available on the NHS? Any information on this would be very welcome. Thank you.

Yes , all other crowns are a nasty cheap dull silver colour now as that's all the NHS fundsEx forum ambassador

Nhs dentistry is there to secure dental health, not improve looks.
A metal crown will need less tooth removing (around .6 MM. as opposed to 1.5 MM. ) and stand up to the strain of the bite right at the back of the mouth better than the various white crowns.
The laboratory fee for eg a good emax crown is such that a dentist would go rapidly bankrupt providing them on the NHS.0
