Your income is too high for JSA and you're not working enough hours to claim WTC. Hopefully you'll get more hours or a second role soon?

You will be able to get some Housing Benefit & Council Tax Support.

As a single male with no children or disabilities I would advise you to get put on Universal Credit.

Bunk up with a friend until your payments are established.

Entitledto.co.uk will give you a idea of what you can get.

Can't get help with rent or council tax if not paying any rent or council tax.

Does a claimant have any option as to whether he gets put on UC or a legacy benefit? Does it not depend on whether UC has been rolled out to his area?
