Hello to all
At the moment i have been using a company called Bank Smart
to recover my bank charges, but it has now entering the 4th month in my claim, Bank Smart told me it is due to under hand tactics which are being used by most banks to delay the process, which i can understand.
my question is the delay due to the investigation into bank charges currently ongoing or is it ive picked a poor company to reclaim my charges.
many thanks

all bank charges reclaims have been put on hold, unless you had been made an offer/agreed a settlement before the OFT case started. Now unless you are in 'Financial hardship' your stuck waiting for the test case to finish, and it's not supposed to start until jan/feb 2008 and last a week i believeReclaimed thanks to this site: £2596.71

While you cannot currently make claims through the ombudsman as he is not dealing with any new matters until after the test case you are not prevented from bringing court proceedings. Although having said that you may find that these are stayed until after the test case there is no uniform practice in the courts. Have you checked that Bank Smart are authorised to handle claims work. You can check this by going to https://www.claimsmanagement.gov.uk.As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0
