Partner on maternity leave, income down by more than 2500

My partner is currently on maternity leave, so she's on smp, meaning her income will be more than 2500 lower than last year's, we've already told tax credits that's she's on maternity and receiving smp, how will this change asffect our tax credits?
Chances are I'm in this thread asking questions as I love to learn new stuff. (Did you know all polar bears are left handed?)

You can disregard £100 of partners income each week while she is on maternity leave so annual income can be estimated on that and you could ask for a current year assessment in order that tax credits are paid out when you need it rather than next year which is based on this years income.
Beware not to overestimate the number of weeks on maternity leave as that could cause a possible overpayment.
I think the maximum of weeks allowable for maternity leave is 39. After that she is not classed as employed for working tax credits but if you are employed that shouldn't matter to your entitlement.0
