I recently found an item purchased via. Amaz*n from another company some 2 months beyond their surely incorrect "30 day limit" had developed a fault..
(Text removed by MSE Forum Team)
resolved the matter, with a return process paid for by Amaz*n and full refund including original shipping costs.
Indeed, about 3 hours after I dropped the item off at a local shop I received an email saying a payment had been approved.. surely they didn't want to just get rid of me??

The 30 day limit is for change of mind returns. Where faults occur then the Consumer Contracts Regulations Rights Act 2015 applies. (The CCRs CRA replaced the Sale of Goods Act, and the Distance Selling Regulations, for consumer sales contracts. This is also where the 30 days comes from).0

I'm glad someone else figured out what this thread was about, I was struggling a bit.

Might want to check your keyboard mappings, your 'o' key seems to be coming out as a *theartfullodger wrote: »I recently found an item purchased via. Amaz*n
Yes I'm being sarcastic, really don't know what people are trying to achieve when they do this.0 -

Give artful a break, this isn't his usual haunt in the forum (I don't think I've ever seen a post from him here) so he may have thought that it's not on to explicitly name companies. Perhaps he thought it was better to play it safe until advised otherwise.0

Amazon?
I find their CS to be very good. I emailed them yesterday about a faulty item around six months old and it was collected by DPD this morning. No need to contact the CEO. Even better, the CS that arranged the collection also actioned the refund.
Amazon do mess up at times but when they do they generally solve it *very* efficiently.0 -
This will always happen - it's just the self service part you can't use to return something after 30 days.
Generally Amazon will replace or refund within a year of purchase no questions asked and if it's a defective item they will give you a pre-paid return label or arrange a collection.0
