7 months from my appeal and heard nothing...

...I appealed in March against a ticket for parking outside of bays at Three Bridges railway station and got an acknowledgement from Popla. And that has been the last I have heard. Given that it is over six months can I safely assume that I won't hear anything?

Hello fellow Sussex resident! No, you can't assume that it's cancelled.
It may be, but in fact, thousands of people are waiting:

Your case will be most likely be still currently stayed for Beavis (the case the innocent party consumer lost last week against the xxxxxxxs). Like 4000 others, it's been stayed for months, if you included the 'no GPEOL' argument.
You would have had an email from POPLA in the Spring - and since.
You can ask the BPA where your case is:
aos@britishparking.co.uk
...ask whether it's cancelled or in the 'work in progress' pile or the POPLA 'adjourned for Beavis only' pile and point out it cannot be in the latter.
You need to INSIST to the BPA that if it is still showing as an 'adjourned' POPLA case, it CANNOT LAWFULLY be decided merely on the Beavis narrow issues because it's a train station, not relevant land and you are the keeper (hopefully you never appealed giving away what happened & who was driving?).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh dear....and I was sitting here content in the knowledge that I had got away with it all..... Anyway, I only confirmed that I was the keeper in the appeal. Do you think it best that I ask, or I carry on waiting?
Need to catch up on what's been happening I think!!0 -
Got away with it?! It's the PPCs who get away with it! This wasn't a crime. Which PPC?
If you got emails from POPLA months ago telling you it's adjourned then it's adjourned. I would ask the BPA to see if your POPLA number is in the assumed 'only stayed for Beavis pile' and if they dare to say it is, tell them there is NO WAY your case has been considered on the other appeal points (for the reasons I gave above) being careful never to talk about who was driving/what happened.
Beavis lost and the BPA were already hoping to sweep the lot under the carpet when old POPLA wrongly told them (allegedly) that all the old cases had been looked at and only rested on the narrow issues in Beavis. You need to tell the BPA that's not true.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

haha...ok...take the point re getting away with it...it was Meteor Parking. But I am slightly (ok, a lot) confused because the last correspondence I got back in March was from POPLA acknowledging receipt of appeal. They said it would be sent to Meteor. The operator will send their evidence to us etc. Then went on to say that the appeal will be considered on or soon after 07 April 2015 etc. Then said that all electronic submissions and attachments received at POPLA will be destroyed after 6 months from the date of the last action in the matter....etc.
I suppose that could be read two ways but I was reading that, as 6 months has passed with nothing happening, everything will have been destroyed. But obviously incorrect in that the last action hasn't yet happened.....
But thanks for your advice. Will contact the BPA and see what they say.0
