I really hope someone can help explain my reply to me....
I recently used Martins template letter (slightly adjusted) to try to reclaim charges that I have occurred via my current account/bank account not a credit card. I received a reply today via an excel sheet with the following columns and I would like to know which columns I can claim the totals back for and which ones I can't:
1) Total cleared transaction charges
2) Total unpaid direct debt charges
3) Total unpaid cheque charges
4) Total unpaid standing order charges
5) Total unauthorised overdraft fees
6) Total cleared transaction charge refunds
7)Total unpaid standing order charges refunds
8) Total unauthorised overdraft fee refunds
9) Total unpaid direct debt charge refunds
10) Total unpaid chaque fee refunds
Im so confused!!!
Many Thanks

Hi,
You can't claim refunds. This is because the charges have already been refunded to your account, usually because the account holder has phoned to complain about the extorsionate amount of money these banks are depriving us of.<!-- / message -->0 -

Guys,
Sorry to sound stupid!!! You advise there was a help thread stating what you can claim for and what you can't. I have been searching for 20minutes and can't find it, this site isn't the most user friendly site I have ever used even though its content is great!!! Please could you point me in the right direction thanks!0 -
When you have a look at the top of this Bank Charges board, you will see a lot of "stickies", i.e. threads that have been pinned at the top to remain there. One of them is called the Reclaim Bank Charges Help Thread. It really is NOT difficult to find.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0
