Money Savers Arms

Last ooorders!… We’re sorry but for now, due to resources, we need to close the Money Savers Arms including Discussion Time.

It’s not easy to write this. We love the forum, but we also have a job to do to protect it, our users and MoneySavingExpert, and at the moment, with all our resources focused on Coronavirus information, and all the team at home, we don’t feel we have the resources to do a good enough job.

For four months, we’ve been struggling to cope with the huge volumes of messages we’ve been getting from Forumites – many of whom are in desperate and dire straits with their finances. The team have been working all hours to try and keep on top of it. At first we thought it’d be a short sharp spike, but it isn’t, it’s continuing, so we have had some difficult choices to make about prioritisation.

Unfortunately in, and likely because of, these stressful times, the Forum team have also been receiving an increasing number of complaints about posts made on the Money Savers Arms and Discussion Time. The team have done what they can to try and walk the tightrope of balancing all the various interests, but for now we need to draw a line under this and temporarily close this Board, so we can keep the key, MoneySaving boards – where people are supporting each other through this crisis - running smoothly.

We know this board is important to you, but as the MSE stance has been forbearance throughout this crisis, now we ask that of you. We’re sorry. Of course you can post on other boards, but we’d ask you to stick to the subjects of those boards, and not use them as a surrogate Money Savers Arms or Discussion Time. And as always please be kind and friendly to each other, especially any newbies.

Thanks
MSE Forum Team

:hello: Good morning lovely Alphabettys in Happy Chatty Land!

    wwd2017_pc.gifrespekt07.gif

World Wildlife Day will be celebrated in 2017 under the theme
    “Listen to the Young Voices.”

    poster_about.jpg

Given that almost one quarter of the world’s population is aged
between 10 and 24, vigorous efforts need to be made to encourage
young people, as the future leaders and decision makers of the
world, to act at both local and global levels to protect endangered
    wildlife.

    1117387_370.jpg

World Wildlife Day 2017 encourages youth around the world to
rally together to address ongoing major threats to wildlife
including habitat change, over-exploitation or illicit trafficking.

Youth are the agents of change. In fact, we are already seeing the
positive impacts on conservation issues made by some young
conservation leaders around the world. If they can help make a
    change, you can too!

    wwd_pr_youth_t.jpg

Governments, law makers, enforcement officers, customs officials
and park rangers across every region are scaling up their efforts
    to protect wildlife.

It is also up to every citizen, young and old, to protect wildlife and
their habitats. We all have a role to play.

    CoP17_2017_pr_t.jpg

Our collective conservation actions can be the difference between
    a species surviving or disappearing.

    wwd2016_poster.jpg

It’s time for us all to listen to the young voices.

Today, another two children have been diagnosed with a life-
    threatening liver disease.

Over 100 different liver diseases can affect children and young
people. The causes are largely unknown; many require a liver
transplant – all require a lifetime of care.

fundraising day, a chance to have fun and show your support for
children affected by childhood liver disease and their families. Join
the fun, join the fight on Friday 3rd March by wearing yellow and
organising fundraising activities to help transform lives affected.

Anyone and everyone can get involved in our yellow fun and we

    GB-20spring-20clean-20logo-20final.png

:staradmin Its time to clean up this country!

    :staradmin 3rd - 5th March

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with one simple
ambition. To bring together people from across the country to
clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and
    coastline.

In 2015, one enthusiastic individual - Melissa Murdoch - had an
idea to get people from all walks of life together in cleaning up the
rubbish that surrounds us. Together, with Adrian Evans, Keep
Britain Tidy, Country Life Magazine and a range of supporting
partners the Clean for The Queen campaign inspired 250,000
people to get involved in local clean ups through March 2016. But
    we couldn't leave it there...

Through March 2017, we want to inspire 500,000 people to get
outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around
    us.

We’re calling on individuals, community groups, charities, sports
clubs, business, local authorities and many more to sign up and
    take part.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRIFIwB8yH22I11dG7aeoD-jDQrYrNvoRrb1aqhN_sMRDxw8ASv

You’ll join an ever growing band of people who have had enough of
other people’s litter, are willing to donate their time to help clear it
up and want to see an end to littering. :T

Morning all, Hope I haven't stolen part of Alfies post as today is NATIONAL I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY DAY
National I Want You to be Happy Day is observed annually on March 3. This day was created as a day encouraging us to do something to make others happy. Putting a smile on someone’s face tends to put one on ours, too.

    HOW TO OBSERVE

It’s quite limitless. A flower here, a silly knock-knock joke there. Buy the person’s coffee standing in line behind you. Remind your kids how much you love them. Leave a sticky note for a co-worker telling them to have a spectacular day, a happy day. Draw a happy face in the snow for a stranger to come across later. Give someone a hug. Use #IWantYouToBeHappyDay to post on social media.

Tweeting , now that's something I've yet to master. :undecided. Have a great day.
