Private parking fine G24 advice please x

Hi
I received a parking fine from a Homebase carpark in in June 2015 stating that I had over stayed at the carpark. I sent G24 a letter (as I was unable to email or get through on their telephone line) to explain that I had actually entered and left the carpark twice that day and had not overstayed. I did not receive any letter from them until now (from a debt collecting agency) stating that I must pay £160 or face legal proceedings. I spoke with the debt agency today who explained that the car park has a 'no return 4hours' sign in the car park and as I returned to the carpark within the 4 hours I must pay the fine. This was not stated in the orginal letter. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

G24 are just a bunch of criminal scammers.
The debt collectors can't do anything to you. Just ignore them and G24. Only REAL court papers should be responded to and G24 have NEVER done court. Something the two stupid bints in their office couldn't explain when I rang them yesterday.
The only people you should be communicating with are Homebase.
Here's their CEOs email - echo.lu@homebase.co.uk ( see what she says when you tell her you'll be using B&Q in future )
You could go even higher, to the CEO of the Home Retail Group ( who own Homebase ) - john.walden@homeretailgroup.com"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

Welcome to mse - and now start reading the newbies stickies. When you do so, you'll realise you've fallen foul of a few absolute rules - OUR rules :-), but they have more clout than anything from silly debt collectors or parking bullies.
NEVER CONTACT OR SPEAK TO DEBT COLLECTORS - you've done this, ensuring you'll get a more shreddable pet bedding.
' I must pay £160 or face legal proceedings. ' - are you sure about those words? Not 'may' or 'could'?
Put G24 and 'double-dipping' in the Search box - learn to find your way around the all-you-need toolbox to end up laughing at this nonsense.
If they weren't so convincing, how would they make their sly profits?
