Hi. I don't know if this is the best to post this. Feel free to move if it's not. My son flies home to Manchester from Berlin tomorrow. He's bought a dear skull on a plaque from a market while over there. Will he be able to bring it back?

An old dear
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
(Guessing)
I think it'll be OK .... but he can expect to have to pay VAT on its value, at 5%. So if he paid £100 for it, £5 VAT.
The situation might change based on the age of it and if it's an endangered species. If it's a random market buy for £10 and non-specific deer then it's probably no more notifiable than plastic marracas from Spain.
I might tend to head towards "stuff to declare" if that's an option at any point, rather than hiding it in a shoe and heading for "nothing to declare"0 -
Would have been better to have bought a cheap one.0

As it was purchased in another EU country, there won't be any VAT to pay on its import into the UK. (this is assuming that it is a personal import and not brought in as part of a business).0 -
