More than £60k to invest, but where?

I really want no more than a couple of places to keep this as I'm getting older and I don't want to leave a nightmare for my daughter to sort through, and also my memory isn't what it was. I've already got 2 Santander 123 a/cs but want to put the rest somewhere for some decent interest. I've read all the banking stuff and there doesn't appear to be anywhere for a higher amount. Can anyone help?

In a similar position. Keep looking at different things and not being convinced. I will enjoy reading the replies.

Santander is the only bank account offering decent (3%+) interest on more than £5K in a single account, although you can, for example, open three Bank of Scotland accounts for a total of £15K at 3%, separate accounts but in one place as it were.

Failing that, you're really into bog-standard traditional savings accounts - instant access ones are only in 1.6% territory but you might wish to consider fixing for multiple years if there's already enough readily-accessible cash, you can get up to 3% if you fix for 5 years, see this guide for details.
