Excellent! Hope she has enjoyed the job. I loved my cleaning job I had as am OCD about order and organisation and used to love the way it all looked when I'd finished. Good luck with the OPing x
  • Only 7yrs to go on the ordinary mortgage and 5yrs to go on the extension loan.
  • Wifes cleaning job has gone online as she only temp took over from woman who retired so hopefully she'll be shortlisted for the interview stage in September. With the job in the canteen shes been told that theyre employing her again in the new school term in September so if she doesnt get the nursery school job at least she has the canteen job.The only difference is that she gets paid for the 1st job during the summer as she goes in twice a wk but she doesnt for the canteen job.Its only from September to June.
  • I can take 3mths off my mortgage if I pay 125 per month extra instead of 110 so thinking of setting this up in September.Dont want to pay any more as id be really stretching myself too much!Thats over 11.5 years left on the orig mortgage.
  • Recieved a letter from Nationwide saying my mortgage payments from September were coming down by 13.72 per month unf with the extention mortgage i had it on a 5yr fixed which i have been paying just over 2yrs so the monthly payments will stay the same. The way i look at it 13.72 better in my pocket than theirs!Wife has put her application form in for the nursery school so hopefully she'll be shortlisted for an interview.

Bit of an update Wife has finally got an interview for her nursery school cleaning job next Thursday so heres hoping. She was also told that the job in the canteen of the school is going online soon as it was only ever temp so she paid and passed an exam online for a hygiene cert as it will give her a better chance of getting the job.Have upped my mortgage o/p to 120 per month which if i keep it up will save me over 3000 pounds. So will try and keep that going for as long as i can!
  • Wife has officially been offered the cleaning job at the Nursery School still no news about the position in the canteen going online yet but shes still working there and enjoys it plus its extra money. We're a lot happier now shes permanent in at least 1 job!Im still working away and theres a lot of overtime going in work at the minute so if i need extra money i can get it which helps the mortgage payments so Happy Days!
  • Wife's job in the canteen was advertised online and another job in another primary school as well Theyre both 10hrs so shes applied for both just incase she doesnt get the job in the school shes at.Money tight at the minute have paid for half the Christmas presents and it was d/s b'day so we went to the swimming pool and a meal on Saturday. He's 13 today so is now an Official Teenager!Owe just under 53,000 on the Mortgage thats with the interest added on.
  • Bit of an update.Wife didnt get the job in the canteen but she put in for a 10 and a 21hr position so she got offered the 21hr position from 9.40-2.25 each day so shes going to accept this offer. The only down side is because she is working more hrs and getting more income our tax credits will go down.Still paying the 120.00 extra on my mortgage and next month should be under the 50,000 mark inc interest. My mortgage statement should be coming through any day now so still have a target of Summer 2023 which i hope to achieve.
  • Mortgage statement arrived this morning still owe 34,243 on main mortgage and 14,270 on Extension mortgage that was up to end of last yr.
