Who's right?

in Credit cards
So I have used MSE's eligibility checker for balance transfer card. Specifically for Barclays it says I have absolutely no eligibility. But have also used Barclays own eligibility checker and it says I qualify with a score of 9/10. So who is right? I was thinking of getting another card...only just been granted Fluid card in the last few days with a credit limit of 11500 but it's about £1500 short to transfer my whole debt. My main worry is were to I apply and I was rejected would this jeopardize my recent fluid acceptance.

As Barclays are the issuer, clearly its Barclays.0

You will very likely be accepted by Barclaycard, given that they have used their own internal rating system, which is presumably similar to what they will use for the final application.
Secondly, it will have no impact upon your Fluid application, for which you have already been approved.
Based upon my experience, making several applications close together had no impact upon the success of my applications.0 -
Well I decided to apply and dammit I wish I hadn't now! After them saying I had a 9/10 chance of being accepted, I was told they could not give me a decision straight away. I only applied because they said I had a good chance of being accepted. I should have listened to MSE and not the bloody bank! Now I will probably have a rejection on my file just when things were getting better and I was only asking for a transfer of £1140. To be honest I would rather withdraw my application as opposed to them saying no. Is that even possible?? Or is the damage done already. To anyone I will say...listen to MSE not the bank!0

There won't be a rejection on your credit file, just a search. Obviously your application was considered borderline and needs to go to an underwriter to decide.
Just wait a few days and see what the bank decides. The search is already on your file from the moment you replied.0 -
Im surprised (it seems) Barclaycard did not accept you, your file must already have something bad.0

Well obviously I don't have the greatest history with a lot of debt hence the balance transfer request. Before my application a few days ago with fluid, I had not applied anywhere in over a year. My debt is only beginning to reduce and has seen an improvement over the last couple of months. I would not have even considered applying again were it not for Barclays card saying that I had a 9/10 chance. I know these things are not guaranteed but 9 out of 10 was so high I thought it must be accurate. Clearly the MSE eligibility checker is more reliable. Well as long as my fluid one is ok, that is all that matters. I was prepared to pay the small balance on the current card with the interest anyway, it was just a chance I was taking based on the high eligibility score Barclay gave me in the first place.0 -
Keep in mind, fluid placed a search on your experian file only, barclaycard eligibility checker will check only your equifax file only -thus won't see the recent application search-, however a full application will also search your experian, where another credit application search was placed few days ago. This might be the reason you were referred.0

I wouldn't be overly concerned as there could be a myriad of reasons for the delayed decision, particularly given that it's the weekend. You didn't receive an outright rejection, which is positive.
Even if you are rejected, a couple of searches on your file shouldn't be of any major significance.
Did you try the MBNA eligibility checker, out of interest? If it's positive and Barclaycard do reject you, it might be worth trying them, particularly given that the balance that you're looking to transfer is so low.0 -

Right, just another example of me being an idiot showing my ignorance. Wish I had known that 2 hours ago. Another lesson learned.0 -
