Unaccompanied bag, S'pore - Miami

The lady I am travelling with no longer has need of a large suitcase of clothes etc and wishes to send it home to Caracas in advance of her return. It would almost certainly be lost/stolen at CCS, and she has ways to have it taken to Caracas from Miami, so best to send it there from Singapore.
I have no experience of this kind of thing, any advice on the best and most economical ways would be very welcome, thanks!

She'd need to courier it back. A friend did that with a bag to meet her in Europe when she arrived from the US to start a cruise. She paid more for the bags than she did for her own ticket. The price she quoted made me wince.

A lot of carriers will want it packed in a box and will not take suitcases. she needs to to get the customs declaration right so that it's value is declared for insurance but it doesn't attract customs fees. This may be difficult as she is not sending it directly to her home.
I can't see why she can't send it directly to Caracas. Thousands of items a day must pass through, so its chances of being stolen are not so high especially if it goes with a reputable company like Fedex or UPS.0 -
Thanks all. Seems that airlines themselves do not handle unaccompanied these days, except the likes of Air India on a route for which the pax is ticketed.
I found a couple of online quotes for a 30kg suitcase Singapore to Miami:
xsbaggage.com - US$381
sendmybag.com - £158
Neither serve Venezuela, unsurprisingly.
She would be able to specify delivery to a private address in Miami area, probably using her own name as addressee, then have it taken personally to Caracas when the chance arises.
An item I sent to Venezuela by courier a few years ago was actually delivered, four months later, but these days the situation is even worse.Evolution, not revolution0
