TV Not As Described

Four weeks ago I purchased and collected from an online retailer a 65" Sony Android TV. The website advertises the television as having "YouView" and "USB Recording". It transpires that both these features are "coming soon" according to Sony's website; however nowhere on the retailers website does it advertise this fact. The one email I have had from the retailer when I complained that it was not as described was to point me to the Sony website and "apologise" for the confusion. A week ago I spoke with the Director of the retailer who seemed quite responsive and said if I wasn't happy then they would take the television back. We both agreed that we would give it a week to see if Sony applied the updates to facilitate these features, if not, then they would take it back. Sony haven't, and trying to contact the retailer is proving fruitless at present. At the point of purchase I took advantage of their "buy now pay later" finance deal (Hitachi Finance), which in essence gives me 12 months interest free credit. I have tried to enlist the help of the credit company to which they have replied that they have no accountability here and to seek redress with the retailer. This was their "final decision". My question is, does the finance company have any obligation here considering the item was sold "not as described"?

    The credit supplier are wrong.

Have a read of MSE's Section 75 article and remind Hitachi Finance that they are equally responsible, together with the seller, for performance of the contract.

The credit company is jointly liable if the goods are not as described. Quote Section 75 at them. Ask for the credit contract to be terminated. If you have already paid any money, ask for a refund of that as well.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
